The Program · Nine Segments

Sixty days to become the man
your marriage actually needs.

Nine one-on-one sessions. Each one builds on the last. The men who do the work between sessions are the ones who see real change.

Every segment has a purpose. Nothing is filler.

The 60 days move in a deliberate sequence, from honest identification of the problem, through the hardest internal work, into the practical rebuilding of the marriage.

Segments 1–2

Name What Is Actually Happening

Segments 3–5

Deal With What Is Driving It

Segments 6–7

Rebuild What Broke Down

Segments 8–9

Sustain Who He Is Becoming

1
The Hazard Assessment
Before we can fix anything, we must know what we are dealing with.

This is not an intake form. It is a conversation. You tell the story of your marriage in your own words. Not the polished version, the honest one. Together we identify the primary hazard: the pattern that is doing the most damage right now. Everything that follows is built on what we name here.

You Leave With A clear name for what is actually breaking your marriage. Not a vague sense that something is wrong, but a specific, honest identification of the pattern you are running.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

2
The Anger Hazard
When the signal becomes the weapon.

Anger is not the whole problem. It is a signal sitting on top of something else: fear, hurt, pride, loneliness, a threatened sense of identity. The problem is what a man does with that signal. This segment applies the Five Fundamentals directly to anger: identifying it, understanding what is underneath it, building a procedure for the moment it arrives, and managing the discomfort of changing a pattern that has been there for years.

You Leave With A 4-step anger procedure you can actually use in the moment, and the discipline of tracking what triggers you, not to shame yourself, but to understand the signal.

“Don’t sin by letting anger control you. Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry.” Ephesians 4:26

3
Safe Enough to Be Honest
How to talk so the marriage can actually heal.

Most struggling marriages do not fail because people stopped caring. They fail because both people stopped feeling safe enough to be honest. This segment teaches a communication framework built on three pillars: Compassion, which lowers the drawbridge; Ownership, which stops the blame and names what is real; and Consistent Follow-Through, which builds the trust that makes change believable over time.

You Leave With A practical communication structure you can use in the next hard conversation. Not a script, but a framework that creates safety before the issue even lands.

“Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.” Colossians 4:6

4
Cancel the Debt, Part One
Forgiving the people you are still carrying.

Most men walk into their marriage already owed something. A father who was never there. A first wife who left. Someone who used him when he was too young to see it coming. That debt does not stay in the past. It leaks into every conflict, every moment he is asked to give something he does not believe he ever received. This segment walks a concrete four-step process: name the people, name the debt, cancel the debt, mark it paid in full.

You Leave WithA completed forgiveness exercise. Not a feeling, an act. The kind of release that changes what a man carries into his house every day.

“Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.” Colossians 3:13

5
Cancel the Debt, Part Two
Receiving grace instead of serving the sentence.

Some men can forgive everyone but themselves. They have confessed the same failure a hundred times and still carry it like a sentence they have to keep serving. That does not make a man safer to live with. It makes him defensive, distant, and hard to reach. This segment handles the harder half of forgiveness: confession without hiding, repentance without self-punishment, and refusing to hold yourself hostage for something God already settled.

You Leave WithA clear line between the sorrow that changes a man and the shame that just keeps him stuck, plus the practice of receiving grace instead of arguing with it.

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1

6
The Test
When you start changing, everything around you does too.

Most men expect that doing the right thing will produce immediate relief. It does not. Change creates friction. It comes from his wife who does not trust the new version yet, from himself as old patterns fight to survive, and from circumstances that seem to intensify right when something real is shifting. This segment prepares a man for what real change actually looks like before it gets easier, and gives him the Romans 12:2 renewal framework for replacing the false narratives that fuel the old patterns.

You Leave With A three-step practice for naming, testing, and replacing the internal narratives that pull you back to your old pattern, even when your behavior is starting to change.

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.” Romans 12:2

7
Bring It Back
Rebuilding the laughter, the lightness, and the closeness that left.

In a hurting marriage, laughter is usually one of the first things to go. This segment focuses on what comes after the hard internal work: intentional, practical rebuilding of emotional intimacy and connection. Not through grand gestures, but through the small, consistent bids for connection that rebuild trust over time. Emotional intimacy is not the reward for a healthy marriage. It is the soil that a healthy marriage grows in.

You Leave With A daily practice of making one genuine bid for connection. No agenda, no demand for a response. And the discipline of listening when she answers the question: "When do you feel most connected to me?"

“Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you. Rejoice in the wife of your youth.” Proverbs 5:18

8
What Is This Teaching You?
Track the lessons or repeat them.

Experience alone does not produce growth. Evaluated experience does. This segment introduces the after-action review as a permanent discipline, a structured way of looking at what triggered you, what you were really feeling, what you did well, and what needs to change next time. It also includes an honest review of the full 60 days: identifying recurring patterns, capturing real wins, and writing a second letter to his wife that reflects the man he is becoming.

You Leave With A pattern inventory of your three most common triggers, the emotions underneath them, and whether your default response is actually getting you what you want. Plus a written record of your top five wins from the 60 days.

“Intelligent people are always ready to learn. Their ears are open for knowledge.” Proverbs 18:15

9
The New Normal
Who he is now, and the life he is being built for.

This is not a graduation. It is a commissioning. The goal was never just to fix the marriage. The goal was to become the man a healthy marriage requires. The disciplines built during the 60 days are not temporary scaffolding. They are the structure going forward. This segment names what changed, celebrates the hard work honestly, and establishes the long-game accountability that keeps transformation from sliding back into old patterns.

You Leave With A clear accountability structure, a commissioning that names specifically what you have done and who you have become, and a plan for sustaining the man you have spent 60 days building.

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” Philippians 1:6

Cancel the Debt Worksheet + Romans 12:2 Mindset Cards

Tangible tools for the forgiveness work and the daily discipline of renewing your mind.

This works for men who are ready for three things.

This is not a passive program. The men who see real change are the ones who bring all three of these to the work.

Compassion

You will look at your history and your habits with zero shame. Not to excuse what you have done, but to understand it clearly enough to actually change it.

Ownership

You will stop looking at what she is doing and take absolute responsibility for your own patterns, your own choices, and your own healing. No exceptions.

Consistent Follow-Through

You will do the work between sessions. Decades of patterns do not change in a single breakthrough conversation. They change through daily reps until the new way becomes automatic.

One more thing worth saying before you take the next step. I cannot promise you what she will do. Transformation is yours. Her response is hers. What I can tell you is this: every man who has done this work honestly has left as a different man. A better father. A clearer thinker. A man who knows himself. Some saved their marriages. Some did not. All of them said the work was worth it. That is the promise I can make and keep.
